After opening their doors in the summer of 2004 the business has grown from strength to strength to include the opening of their lettings department in 2008. harveyrobinson are pleased to be the only Huntingdon agent open 7 days a week staffed solely by full time employees.
Meet the team...
Michael Harvey
Michael has been an Estate Agent for 15 years working in many of the larger towns in the area including several years spent in the busy Cambridge market. Michael bought his first investment property over a decade ago and now personally owns a sizeable property portfolio in and around Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
Michael is available to give advice to anyone thinking of becoming a Landlord and can provide a “property sourcing service” should a client require it. Michael is also a Director of our Lettings department and with his vast personal experiences as a Landlord and Investor can offer advice on gearing an existing portfolios for seasoned investors or the best ways of starting a portfolio for the novice.
“I love my job....I guess that is why I never get that Monday morning feeling. I have a real interest in property and investment but even more so love meeting different people. Out of work to relax I indulge in DIY at our home which my wife and I bought “in need of modernisation” 3 years ago. In that time I have managed to decorate an entire bedroom and entrance hall. My two children keep me busy when i’m at home, as most parents will appreciate, and any spare time I have is spent either working on the house or indulging in my ever changing list of hobbies.
Justin Robinson
Justin has been an Estate Agent for nearly a decade and has worked within both the corporate and independent sectors. Justin’s background is firmly rooted in the customer service industry having worked for many years as a Restaurateur he firmly believes that the customer comes first. He is the driving force behind harveyrobinson’s “can do” attitude. Justin’s goal is to deliver every customer the best service and advice, he even gives each of our vendors his personal mobile number saying “...as long as he is awake he will take the call!”
Like Michael, Justin also believes in investing in his future pension with property and has for several years bought then sold or bought and let houses in many of the areas within Huntingdonshire. Recently he has lived in Hartford, Stukeley Meadows, Huntingdon Town, Brampton and Sapley. Personal knowledge like this is invaluable when both valuing properties and finding properties for his clients.
“Recently I got engaged so hopefully my next move will be my last for a while! I still have a great passion for good food and wine and spend a lot of my spare time exploring new restaurants be it locally or further afield. Unfortunately since getting engaged I have perhaps been celebrating a bit too much so you will (should) probably see me at the gym sometime soon!”
Grant McNicoll - Branch Manager
Grant has worked in estate agency since 2003 and has been with harveyrobinson from day 1. Grant has worked his way up to Branch Manager and brings with him a wealth of local knowledge having lived in Huntingdon for a number of years. Grant purchased his first home in 2005 and shortly after began to expand his property portfolio giving him invaluable knowledge of the buying, selling and letting process.
“The best thing about having worked with harveyrobinson since day 1 is seeing the company expanded over the years going from a virtually unheard of independent agent to one of the area’s leading estate agents and in more recent years leading rental agents“ On the odd occasion I do get to switch off from the buzzing office environment and hectic work schedule we all love as estate agents, I spend a lot of my time following one of the areas local football teams who shall remain nameless due to an embarrassing season resulting in relegation. In 2009 I was also fortunate enough to be given time off work to pursue a lifelong dream to travel the world which took me to many countries including Thailand, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and the USA. This trip of a life time has given me a hunger to visit other corners of the globe.
Mathew Jones - Sales Executive
Mathew started working for harveyrobinson in 2007. Having lived in the area all his life Mathew can offer a wealth of local knowledge including information on local schools and other amenities. Mathew has previously worked in finance and in other customer service driven industries so understands the importance placed by harveyrobinson on communication.
Having lived and worked in Huntingdon almost all my life it gives me great pleasure answering questions from people about all manner of things Huntingdon related. I really enjoy working for harveyrobinson and find their forward thinking attitude constantly refreshing.
Out of work the team socialise frequently with go-karting being a firm favourite but I also enjoy socialising with friends and, like Justin, have a great passion for food. I have a 5 year old daughter and together we enjoy walking around Hinchingbrooke Park where we regularly feed the ducks or go swimming at the local pool. My hopes for the future are to work my way up through to hopefully manage my own harveyrobinson office. I have just recently hit my target for a company car and so I am looking forward to placing an order for one very shortly!
Samantha Jenkins - Lettings Manager
Samantha is the manager of our Lettings Department and has been with the team since the beginning of 2010. She brings with her a wealth of experience having worked within the lettings industry for over a decade and her knowledge of all things letting related is second to none. Samantha carries out most of the lettings valuations and inspections so her eye for detail is an invaluable asset. Samantha is on hand to give Landlords advice on how best to present a property for maximum returns and understands letting from a tenants point of view having being a tenant herself for many years.
I have worked within the lettings industry in Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire including a start up business right at the beginning of my career. I am very happy that harveyrobinson’s first class level of service is firmly embedded within the lettings department and not just the sales side as is the case in so many other agencies. Working alongside the team is great fun and one of the main reasons I love but I also enjoy the varying work situations from day to day. I may be dealing with a faulty oven in the morning then valuing a 2000sq ft barn conversion in the afternoon. It’s very difficult to find any time to get bored!!
Out of work I enjoy spending time with my family. I have three children, one of whom has recently flown the nest. We have just recently bought a house which needed completely refurbishment and I’m proud to say that we managed to complete all the work in six weeks. My Partner and I are just in the process of arranging our Wedding for next year so all in all it’s a busy time for me. To unwind I love eating out and taking time out to do things with the children.
Matt Hays - Director, Expert Financial
Matt is our in-house Mortgage Consultant. He has been offering mortgage advice to all types of customers since 2002. He has been working from our office since 2005 and, more recently, established his own company, Expert Financial Ltd. The Whole of Market Service offered by Expert Financial is free of charge and caters for everyone from First Time Buyers to Seasoned Investors with extensive portfolios.
Matt also has a sizeable buy to let portfolio of his own enabling him to offer first hand advice on not only the financial aspects of a house purchase, but also things like the considerations important to property choice depending on an individual’s own investment goals.

“Outside the office most of my time is spent with my Wife and young Daughter so my life is constantly on the go. When I get the chance I also like to spend a few hours on the golf course and regularly enjoy a game of football”.
